Hero Souls Introduction

hero soul guide ulala idle adventure

What are Hero Souls? How do I obtain them? What do they do?

Hero Souls are new, unique little characters in Ulala that are obtained by doing gacha pulls in the Hero’s Arrival section in the Hero Souls tab, and also in the Hero Hill Store. They each have unique boosts to your character, providing permanent boosts to your stats and other things in the game, reducing costs of things, increases odds for certain things, etc. Hero Souls are retroactive! Woo hoo. This means that any progress made in the past will be counted towards the total that the hero soul requires.

How to access them:
Character Tab > Hero Souls > Hero’s Arrival

Hero Soul Drawing Explained
Hero souls also have rate up events, just like feast captures. These rate up events rotate every weekend, leaving Friday, Saturday and Sunday with a rate up event for 3 Hero Souls. 1 of the souls is legendary, 2 are epic. There are 2 sections in the Hero’s arrival, I will be calling those banners later in the guide. The first banner is the standard banner titled, “Hero’s Arrival” and the other will be titled the name of the Legendary Soul in the current rate up rotation. The 1st banner will be blank, no rate ups, so every soul is obtainingable at the same rate. The 1st banner will have 3 chests at the top, one for 30 draws, 60 and 100 draws. 30 draws will grant a random blue soul, 60 grants random epic soul, and 100 grants random legendary soul. The 2nd banner will consist of 1 legendary and 2 epic souls that are in the rate up rotation. The 2nd banner will also have 3 chests at the top. The 30 and 60 draw chests are the same as the 1st banner, but the 100 draw chest will be the rate up legendary soul on the banner. Once you hit 100 on the soul drawing bar, it resets back to 0. Also important to note that both bars are separate, drawing on standard will not count towards rate up.

Once Hero Souls are maxed, any current and future extra soul shards for that soul will be converted to the respected rarity of soul dust. Knowing this, you can profit off a certain type of hero dust by upgrading a hero soul one star below max, to maxed.

How should I be doing Hero Soul draws?
Unless the banner has a legendary soul you want, or one that is good, do not do the rate up banner. It will be better to use the standard banner in order to have a higher chance of getting more of a variety of the legendaries from the draws, and the guaranteed at 100 draws. The green and blue souls are really easy to max out, the epics aren’t easy, but not hard. But the legendary are really hard, so you essentially want to “only” go for the legendary when doing pulls.

I see souls in the Hero Hill Store, should I get them?
The Hero Hill has an epic soul and 2 blue souls in the hero hill store, they unlock fairly early in hero hill store progression, and aren’t expensive, but aren’t cheap either. I would really only buy these if you have said Hero Soul maxed already, and really really need the hero dust to upgrade something. Other than that, they do not seem worth the price, especially for newer players.
