Ulala Boss Guide


This guide is about almost all the bosses in Ulala, starting from Continent 3 (there are some bosses from C2 too) all the way to end (once I reach it with my characters). Sadly this guide doesn’t have photos like other ones where you can instantly see skills and toys etc… But I just wrote it one by one. Doing a screenshot of all these builds requires too much time that I don’t have, so I hope it helps you anyways.

Disclaimer :
Maybe some builds don’t work due to different UP skills, crystals, clatter cards, difference of dmg and other things. If you run a different setup, try to adapt to those builds or the info I give to you. There is no “Perfect build“ that works for everyone for every boss. Notice that some builds are very old, more than 1 year ago, so they probably don’t work anymore now. (Some of them don’t even have toys).

Giant Turtle Shell
Main goal to kill this boss is to stop his spinning. Every time you interrupt his spinning, he gets +25% dmg received for 5s. If he deals a lot of dmg to your backlines, feel free to use an aoe dmg reduction from your tank, and aoe healings from your healer.

 Narwhal King / Thunder Narwhal King

Main goal to kill this boss is to stop his Lightning Storm, something like the Giant Turtle, but this time he doesn’t receive more dmg, but timing your xform after you interrupt his Lightning Storm, and you will deal a lot of damage.

Tyrant Dragon

To defeat this annoying boss, you “ simply “ have 2 choices, the first one is if you have a lot of damage just go directly for a right click glass cannon build, the second one the most common one, is to use a debuff / dispel skill, to dispel his shield, he gets a 12% shield of his max HP every time he loses 30% of his HP till the end of the battle. So all you need to do is basically time your dispel skill to remove his shield. A good thing to do is to use  a Queen Toy for your healer, and maybe a Purge crystal for your tank, just in case you lack of dispel. Timing the xform after you dispel his shield, because sometimes when your DPS xform he gets a shield, and all the dmg is gone. If you can time both of your DPS, with CTA + XFORM it's great, but if you can’t, just see which of your DPS deals the most DMG during his XFORM, and time him only. For example, with my second team, my Mage XFORM was more powerful than Assassin's, so I just timed Mage XFORM with CTA.

Syngnathus (Lapras)

There are a few ways to kill this boss, the first one is to use reducing healing skills, since he heals with every attack he does, and sometimes 2 or more healing reduction skills do the work. Another way to kill him is to simply stop his surf/wave ability, so he doesn’t heal and you don’t take a lot of dmg. I also suggest to use Kham Kham ability on your tank, so when he does the air lunch attack, the tank will be the only one focused and your backline doesn’t get 1 hit K.O. Aoe + some single target heal for your tank can do the work.

Icesea Placodermi

The first time you encounter this boss, it could be really annoying, especially if you don’t know how it works. The way to kill this boss is the following one: use some purge skills on your healer / tank, he has an ability that applies a malus on your team [Frost II], and if a player already has [Frost II] he will get [Frozen II] effect, DMG +50%, basically he stuns your team and deal a little bit more damage, and we don’t want this. Life bloom / Font of Purge, is a great ability against this boss, you can also use Unwavering Will / Battle Shout on your tank. Aoe dmg reduction is great, but the most important skill to have on your DPS is a buff removal, he gets a shield just like Tyrant Dragon, but this time he gets 1 shield of 15% of his max HP every 12s. And we want to remove that.

Walrus Chieftain / Ice Walrus

To defeat the Walrus (Not the Ice Walrus) is pretty simple to be honest, all you need to do is to stop basically almost all of his abilities. The most important one to stop is the one with 4 Mana called [Walrus Force], where he charges and atk all your teammates and summon some mini-walrus that heals per 0.5% HP every 2s, and we don’t want this, so basically stop this ability, or if you want just insta-kill his babies before they heal him. The second annoying ability is a tail slap where he charges and silences all your team for 3s.

 

The Ice Walrus has 2 different abilities, the first one similar to the normal Walrus, charges and summoning 2 lil walruses which restore 10% of the boss HP for 10s. And we don’t want this for the simple fact that his passive makes that everytime he gets healed from his babies he gets ATK+10 for 60s, it can be stacked and cannot be dispersed. In the end, stop him from spawning his babies.

This section here called [Firefly Summit] is where I discovered a single build that worked for every boss in [Firefly Summit] except for Tyrant Dragon, and back in the days with my 2 teams I’ve been using these builds to progress, just had to press challenge without changing anything. It might work or might don’t. I hope it works for you too.

Fire Ankylosaur

This boss in my opinion is pretty simple to defeat, all you need to know is the [Stand as One] ability, 80% of the DMG received by his teammate is shifted to him. Knowing this you have 3 choices.

1 - Aoe Dmg

2 - Single Target Dmg

3 - Single & Aoe Dmg Mixed

A good thing to do is also having some AOE Skill for your pets, here the Tiger Kid Pet is really good, due to his AOE abilities.

Unicorn Gorilla Chief

This boss is simple, and you can easily tank him even during [Frenzy] especially if you run a Warrior in your team. All you need to defeat this boss is to use a [Kham Kham] ability on your tank, so the boss will ATK your tank mainly. The only annoying thing is that once his HP goes below 30%, his Crit Rate is increased by 100% but Crit DMG is reduced by 20%. But overall should be pretty easy to defeat.

Pterosaur King

This boss shouldn’t be too hard to kill. Simply stop his [Cyclone] ability, because deals AOE DMG, the second ability is pretty useless, and has the same passive ability like the Gorilla, once his HP goes below 30%, his Crit Rate is increased by 100% but Crit DMG is reduced by 20%.

Triceratops / Thunder Ceratops

This is one of my favorite bosses to go against. It's such an easy boss in my opinion. All you need for this cute dinosaur is to go full glass cannon on your DPS, single target heal with a purge ability if you want (Drums of Purge / Purification Seed) and full single target tank damage reduction. If you want you can also use some CCs ability to stop his charge, but note that if he uses the ability the next time you try to stop him, won’t work due to this ability:

[Fury Combat] After successfully cast skill, obtain a magic shield to immunity control effect. This shield can be removed, but cannot be stacked.

Thunder Dragon

This boss is a little bit annoying, if you can stop his Thunder you’re pretty much good to go, time your CTA with XFORM and he dies. If he gets really really low HP and survives, see what's the last skill used from your DPS and change it with an ability that, the lower the HP of the boss is the higher the DMG.

Trasher

This boss is not hard to be honest. All you need is basically 2 abilities to kill him. [Kham Kham] on your tank, so he always focus your tank  with [Double Spout], and then you need a CC [Crowd Control, basically a Stun/Silence] ability to stop his [Double Slap] because it deals a little bit of DMG and stuns all your teammates for 1s. Time CTA with XFORM and you’re good to go.

Sabre Tiger King

This is one of the most annoying bosses ever. I also have been stuck here for a long time like probably most of you that are here hoping for a good build to kill him. All of his skills are annoying. [Open Wounds] his normal attack adds one layer of Bleeding effect, so basically DMG overtime. [Rend Flesh] if you have a bleeding effect, the DMG dealt to the player with the malus is 30%+. [Bloodtalons] scratches your tank and applies the [Bleeding] effect, inflicting 25% ATK DMG over 60s. [Powerful Pounce] he charges and attacks your tank, and restores an amount of his HP. The key to kill this bad boy are:

Remove the [Bleeding] effect everytime he applies it to your tank.

Stop his [Powerful Pounce] with a Stun / Silence ability, you don’t want him to restore some HP, due to the fact that he already has a lot of HP.

Time perfectly your CTA XFORM, and you should be fine.

Careful that sometimes, you need a crit, so if the build is doing great, but he doesn’t die and remains with 1% or 2% of HP, you just need a good crit.

Food Buffs are really good against him.

This boss is a little bit tricky, but not that hard. He applies a [Poison] effect an all your teammates, so you want AOE Healing + Debuff / Malus-Removal, for example [Life Bloom / Font of Purge], then he has 2 other ability that deals AOE dmg, but the real DMG is if you have the [Poison] effect. Go full DMG, and you should be good.

Lava Placodermi

Similar to the Icesea Placodermi (I think they are brothers tbh) but much easier this boss requires few skills to go down. Basically he has 1 ability where he charges and knocks all the team in the air stunning them for a second probably, and we want to stop this ability, unless he doesn’t deal too much damage to you, (but you’ll be using AOE dmg reduction). The second ability is pretty stupid, he throws some lava rocks to all your team and it deals dmg over time, but you can dispel it with [Life Bloom / Font of Purge]. Last ability like the Icesea Placodermi is the annoying shield, so remember to use a purge ability on your DPS!

Golden Combed Allosaurus

This boss isn’t that hard. All you need to defeat him, is to have a mix of AOE Healing and Single Target Healing. Some fast skills because he has a [Stubborn Carapace] ability, where he has a lot of defense, but it decreases every time he gets DMG by a skill, so the best thing is to time your CTA + XFORM after you removed his Carapace, and you will deal a lot of DMG. Have a CC ability, to stop his [Thunder Rumble] because it deals some good DMG AOE. And last, tank his Single Target [Thunder Bite] with a single target spell. The best healing abilities to counter this are:

[Song of Protection / Drums of Recovery], those skills work that the lower the HP the higher is the Healing, so if he attacks your tank, and gets low, he can get back at full HP, specially with [Sheep] Toy and CTA Buff.

Spinosaurus

This boss like [Sabre Tiger King] is another one where most people get stuck at. It’s hard to defeat the first time you encounter him. But let’s talk about how this bad boy works. He basically has 1 skill, and 2 passive ones. His first and only active skill is [Poison Jet] continuously fires poison at 1 enemy dealing DMG of its 75% ATK, for 12s every 0.5s, basically he spit on one of your teammates. His passive abilities are:

[Shifting Target] after 30s he changes the spit on another teammates. [Thunder Force III] when he’s casting an ability he has the [Thunder Force III] effect, increasing ATK and ARMOR by 30%. After receiving Skill DMG 25 times, this effect disappears, cannot be stacked or dispelled. The key to defeat this bad boy is to have a [Kham Kham] ability on your tank, and a good skill rotation that makes him use again the ability before 30s, so the boss focuses always on your tank, and you don’t get 1 HIT K.O. The last thing to do, is to stop his spit every time. Time your XFORM with CTA, and you should be fine.

Driller Chieftain

This boss has the same passive ability like [Golden Comboed Allosaur] the [Stubborn Carapace] ability, so all you need to do is to time your XFORM + CTA once all his charges are gone. There are 2 ways of killing this guy. The first one is to simply tank all his AOE DMG, and go Glass Cannon DMG, for this you need a lot of AOE Healing and AOE DMG Reduction from your tank. (Dimetrodon toy can do the work really well if used on his strongest ability.) The second way to kill him, is to stop his poison spitting.

This boss is like the dark version of the [Golden Comboed Allosaurus] he basically has the same spell as his brother. Again [Stubborn Carapace] so time your XFORM + CTA once his charges are gone. Stop his [Augment Thundershock] with a CC ability. And tank his Bite with your tank. Shouldn’t be that hard, since it is almost the same for the [Golden Comboed Allosaurus].

Titanothere Chieftain

This boss is hard if you don’t know how to kill him, and he can easily 1 HIT K.O. your tank. The only way to defeat him is to stop his [Megahorn Smash] where he guides for 6s and deal 600% ATK DMG to your tank. He has the same passive as [Spinosaurus] the [Thunder Force III]. The other skill is an AOE Lightning-Ball DMG Ability, isn’t that powerful, so shouldn’t be too much of a problem, in case it deals a lot of DMG to your backlines, use an AOE DMG Reduction from your tank, or/and some AOE Healing skills on your tank. As always, time your XFORM + CTA, and you should be super fine.

To defeat this stupid boss, you basically need 1 ability. A CC. He has 3 passive abilities, but the most important one is the active one, where he charges and ATK AOE your team. Just try to stop it, or if you want, you can also try to tank it, with AOE DMG reduction and AOE Healing, but I prefer the first way. Time your XFORM + CTA, and you’re good to go. Pretty easy boss.

This boss can be annoying. Like [Spinosaurus & Titanothere Chieftain] he has the [Thunder Force III] ability, all you need to do is to stop his charging. When his HP gets below the 25%, his [Fulmination] ability activates, and he will deal 25% more DMG with his charging ability, and we don’t want this, so just stop him from charging with some CCs. Time your XFORM + CTA, and you should be fine. In case he gets super low and you can’t beat him, use a skill that [Lower is the HP of the boss, Higher is the DMG.], by looking at what's the last skill used from your DPS.

Sharptalon Dragon

This guy is a real DMG Dealer, but shouldn’t be too hard to kill. Let me explain all his ability first, [Predator Scythe] is the active ones, where he Quick Claw the frontliner (so your tank) 2 times, and triggers [Predation], his passive ability, every time he does a basic attack, gets 1 Predation Stack, it can be stacked but not dispelled, and when [Predator Scythe] is casted, each stack deals 15% ATK DMG. Last passive ability is [Gluttony] after he casts an ability, he gets Gluttony stacks, and each increases ATK by 1,5% and ARMOR by 1%, but everytime he gets attacked by a skill, this [Gluttony Charges] decreases by 1. So all you need to do is basically, full Glass Cannon DMG build, and your Healer on Single Target, to keep your tank alive by his [Predator Scythe]. If your team runs an [Warrior] be sure to use [Fearless Shield] this ability is great against bosses that deal a TONS of DMG.

This boss is not that strong, but has 2 annoying abilities, [Nature’s Ward II] he gets a shield of 8% of the lost HP for 10s, every 15s. And [Brutal Shout] he basically attacks all your teammates of ATK DMG * 125%. You have 2 ways to kill him, first one is to use a shield removal, or [Queen Toy / Purge Crystal], the 2nd way to beat him is to go full DPS Glass Cannon. A mix of Single Target and AOE Healing is required for this boss. Time XFORM + CTA!

Here comes another boss where people get stuck at. He has 2 active ability and 2 passive ones. [Fatal Bite] deals DMG to your tank, and increases his Crit by 15% for 30s (Can be dispelled). [Storm Claw II] Attack the target twice with a bonus of 50% Cirt Rate, [Angry] Increases Crit Rate by 15% and Crit DMG by 120%, and each crit is followed by a chain lightning that inflicts DMG to the other teammates in the backline. The main goal to kill this bad boy is by having 1 or more [Debuff / Buff Removal] ability, so he doesn’t deal too much DMG to your tank / backlines, good DPS skills, and a really really good Tank & Heal Abilities. Try to time both of your DPS XFORM with CTA, and you should be fine, don’t forget Food and QB Buff if you can!

[Thunder King Claw] knocks all your teammates in the air dealing DMG.

[Devour Thunder] Channel for 6s, and deals TONS OF DMG, all you need to know about this ability is that you HAVE TO STOP IT, no matter how and what, you need to stop it. The other abilities don’t matter too much, the way to kill him is to stop his first 2 abilities, especially the second one [Devour Thunder], full DPS CANNON DMG, and time your XFORM with CTA.

This boss is really easy to beat, and you have 2 ways to do it. All he does is a swing attack that applies [Bleeding Effect] on all your team, and his second ability is [Lion Roar] and if a player has the [Bleeding Effect] the dmg is really high. So the way to kill him is, debuff / remove the bleeding malus with a purge heal [Font of Purge / Life Bloom] or interrupt his [Lion Roar] everytime. Time XFORM + CTA.

This boss was kinda hard for me back in the days, but nowadays should be really easy to beat. All you need is a single target Heal & Tank, and a dispel ability for his shield. A good ability I used to have is [Flower Seed for Druid] at the very early game of the battle! Time CTA + XFORM, and you should be fine!

Blade Rhino Chieftain

I don’t know how easy this boss is nowadays, but back in the days when I started playing it was a big wall. All you need to know is that every time he casts an ability, he gets 1 layer of [Sharpness] and each layer gives +5% DMG, and, since we don’t want this we must dispel him every time he has 1 or more charges. One of his 2 active spells is an aoe stomp, but it doesn’t deal so much DMG, having an AOE skill after he casts the stomp is really good. Last but most important skill is [Skewer], it deals 100% ATK DMG to a single target unit, and applies [Bleeding Effect], I used to have [Kham Kham] on my tank + Camel toy, with a Dispel ability, like [Battle Shout / Unwavering Will].

Dinornis

The first time I encountered this boss, I was really confused but after a couple of tries I realized what I was doing wrong. You MUST stop his [Song of Death] everytime he casts it. If you don’t stop it (I think you might be able to kill him even if he keeps singing, but not sure 100%) he will sing for 60s, so the entire time of the battle. So we need a couple of CCs, and AOE & Single Target Heal & Tank, since he has a stomp ability that deals AOE DMG, and a [Peck] that deals single target DMG.

This boss is not that hard once you find the right timing, all you need is some AOE Healing due to his [Crush] deals DMG AOE, but the most important thing is to kill his babies once they are spawned as fast as you can, because [Burrow 2] when he’s underground he restores 12% of his MAX HP every second, and if you kill his babies he comes back up.

This guy is so easy, shouldn’t be that hard now, with all the updates that they’ve made to the game. It is similar to all the other brothers. The DMG received on his babies gets shifted to him, so just AOE if you can, or a Mix of AOE / Single, or if you want and you feel comfortable, or super strong (I recommend this if you have evo pets in your team) go for a single target!

This boss has always been easy for me, and so it should be for you all. This guy heals himself with the [Malus] he gives on your teammates, so just dispel it, and kill the babies he summons (if you want, you can also bypass this thing I used to bypass it, but I knew some people kill the babies) and go for glass cannon DMG, and you should be fine!

This boss shouldn’t be too hard now, since we have the new OP Pets. You can either go full Single Target Glass Cannon DMG, or Single Target with a mix of AOE Spell, but use this only if he deals a lot of DMG to your teammates, because when one of his babies dies, he gets a DMG Reduction for the entire battle. But overall should be really easy.

This boss back in the days was super super strong, a real wall, but now SHOULD BE EASY. A mix of Single Target and AOE Healing skills is required here, but the most important thing is to STOP his [Earthquake] every time he’s casting it, that skill just 1 HIT K.O. your teammates. The other skills don't matter at all to be honest.

Probably, you can easily use the [Giant Mountain Dragon] build and it should work the same, in case it doesn’t work, here is a little explanation on how this guy works. He does mostly single target DMG, and the second ability deals AOE DMG, but the backlines take less DMG. Just remove the malus he gives you because he heals himself when you have 1 of his malus.

This boss is really simple to kill, but he’s also super powerful if you have the wrong skills / time on your teammates. A mix of Single Target and Aoe Healing and Tank skills. But the real key is to debuff the malus he gives you, because it will deal more DMG when 1 or more of your teammates has it.

This boss years ago was hard for me, because I was still a noob and I didn’t read any of his skills. All you need to kill him is to use a lot of CCs abilities. Every time he gets CC’ed his DMG Reduction decreases by 4%, but increases his ATK DMG. It's totally worth it to use CCs. Especially when he uses his Roar. A mix of Single Target and AOE Healing skills are required.
